Regan Sharp
Regan (she/they) is a Psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting some of the most vulnerable individuals in our communities. As a neurodiversity-affirming and disability-inclusive practitioner, Regan brings a warm and grounded approach to her work. Their practice is built on a foundation of respect, safety, and honesty, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of every client.
Regan’s empathetic style is complemented by a healthy sense of humour, offering a balance of ease and engagement in therapy. Above all, Regan believes in meeting clients “where they are” and supporting them in their personal journey. They have particular interest and experience working with young people and adults with concerns regarding:
- LGBTIQA+ mental health with a focus on exploration and affirmation of gender, sex and sexuality. Regan has a special interest in supporting transgender and non-binary folks to thrive, particularly gender affirmation, navigating relationships, and social isolation.
- Sexual health, intimacy and sex therapy.
- Individuals and families with concerns regarding self harming behaviours, suicidality, and/or existentialism including death and dying.
- Perinatal mental health (preconception to early childhood parenting support) including support for people navigating infertility, surrogacy and assisted reproductive treatment (ART).
- Body image, self esteem and eating concerns including body dysmorphia and dysphoria
- Experience working with poly, kink and sex worker communities as well as those with ’alternative’ family structures.
Regan has training and experience in several therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT), and trauma therapy. Their therapeutic approach is eclectic and often informed by attachment and somatic/polyvagal theories.
Outside of work Regan has enjoys time with her family, camping, pilates, live music, and hanging with her cats.
