Mikaela Kumanovska
Who I work with
I work with adolescents, young adults and adults, particularly athletes, coaches and high performers. I support people across elite, amateur and recreational sport, as well as those in performance-focused environments who are managing pressure and striving for growth.
What people come to see me for
- Anxiety and performance pressure
- Burnout and stress
- Body image and identity concerns
- OCD and intrusive thoughts
- Confidence and mental skills development
- Life direction, meaning and personal growth
- Psychological safety in performance environments
How I work
I take a warm, collaborative and goal-focused approach. I draw on CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness and coaching psychology to support both wellbeing and performance. Together, we build self-awareness, develop practical mental skills, and work towards goals that feel meaningful and sustainable.
A little about me
I’m a registered psychologist currently completing my Doctor of Psychology in Clinical and Sport & Exercise Psychology. I’ve worked across a range of sporting environments, including AFL, football and basketball, and bring both professional and lived experience as an athlete. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and connected to sport and movement.
