Emily Matenson
Emily supports clients to build more meaningful and connected lives aligned with their values. Emily has previously worked with young people and adults experiencing anxiety and mood disorders, stress, relationship challenges, and trauma. She is experienced in providing treatment for those experiencing eating disorders or body image concerns.
Emily’s approach is trauma-informed, warm, and collaborative. She draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Emily places great emphasis on building a therapeutic relationship based on respect, acceptance, and authenticity. Outside of work Emily is often found horse riding and is partial to a good almond croissant.
