Dr Elizabeth Murdoch
Elizabeth is a registered psychologist who works with adolescents and adults to address mental health and performance-related concerns. Her mental health interests include anxiety/social anxiety, disordered eating and body image, depression, burnout and women’s health. Her performance and sport expertise include perfectionism, performance anxiety, and managing student-athlete demands.
Elizabeth is a friendly, genuine, empathetic psychologist who works collaboratively with clients to ensure they feel understood and empowered to be the best version of themselves. She aims to deliver a holistic, client-centred approach and create a safe space to build capacity for enhanced mental health functioning, well-being, and optimal performance (in work, school or in sport).
Elizabeth completed her PhD in sport and exercise psychology. Her passion for helping individuals achieve their ideal performance is informed by her own experiences in high-level sport. She has a swimming and rowing background and continues to be involved in the sporting community. You will often find Elizabeth by the ocean on any given weekend with a coffee in hand.
