Arthur maintains interest in the areas of cognitive psychology (memory, perception, language) and affective neuroscience (emotions, social behaviours, psychosomatics), ensuring a comprehensive approach to psychological wellbeing. He draws on third-wave cognitive-behavioual therapies such as  ACT, DBT and EFT, as well as psychodynamic-interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT).

Arthur is an enthusiastic advocate for community mental health, including destigmatisation and improved accessibility to mental health services, particularly within LGBTIQA+, CALD, and neurodiverse communities.
