Felipe Arenas Ortiz
Who I work with
I support adults through pivotal life transitions and complex emotional challenges, with a focus on mental health, migration, cultural adjustment, and identity related concerns. I work with professionals in high-demand environments who are managing shifts in identity, relationship difficulties, or the pressures of adapting to workplace of cultural expectations.
My clinical experience spans corporate, healthcare, community, and public sector settings, and I work with leaders, healthcare workers, educators, entrepreneurs, and people in creative industries. My areas of interest include anxiety, mood disorders, cultural identity and adjustment, workplace wellbeing, and men’s mental health.
I am committed not only to alleviating symptoms but to supporting profound character change and helping people move toward a more meaningful, grounded, and fulfilling life. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish.

How I work
My work is grounded in a person‑centred and psychodynamic orientation, supported by advanced training in Experiential Dynamic Therapies, particularly Intensive Short‑Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). I draw from a range of evidence‑based approaches,
- including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT),
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT),
- psychodynamic therapy,
- interpersonal therapy,
- schema therapy,
- Internal Family Systems (IFS),
- mindfulness‑based approaches,
- Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma‑informed practice.
Together, we work to better understand patterns, strengthen emotional awareness, build practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change, not only symptom relief.
