Jarrod White works with individuals and groups to facilitate life contentment, identity, meaning and passion. He works with teens through to adults experiencing a range of difficulties due to not only one’s individual circumstances, but also broader societal issues we all face including climate anxiety, masculinity stereotypes, increased isolation, loss of connection, interpersonal difficulties in relationships, and existential crises. Jarrod’s key areas of clinical interest and experience is in trauma/ complex trauma, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. The base of his therapy stems from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and from this he can springboard into components of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Emotion Regulation, and the implementation of Positive Psychology principles. Jarrod completed his Doctoral thesis on trauma and culture. He is a consultant clinical psychologist at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.
