Ellie is a psychologist who adopts an open-minded, warm and compassionate approach to therapy. She has worked with adolescents and adults across private hospital and community-based settings, and has a special interest in supporting individuals struggling with anxiety and mood disorders, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, stress management and general wellbeing.
Ellie prioritises building a safe, trusting and mutually respectful relationship to explore her client’s needs and challenges, while empowering them to take practical steps towards building healthier, peaceful and more fulfilling lives. She believes that the key to a successful therapeutic experience is the relationship itself, and works collaboratively with her clients to understand factors that influence and maintain their current situation, while respecting that the client is the expert in their own life.
Ellie adopts a holistic approach to therapy drawing from various evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and tailors her approach to the individual and their needs.
